We are a family of five with two adults and three small children who love our holiday home. We searched for a long time for the right and relaxed place with less than an hour from Copenhagen and fell for the quiet and unexplored Hornsherred in North Zealand. Here we found the perfect log house with modern comfort and a large garden for play and relaxation, fulfilling our dream of a place with soul and atmosphere. No matter the season or the weather, there's always something to enjoy here. In summer, you can enjoy the child-friendly beach with low tide and calm fjord water just a few steps away. The nearby forest is perfect for walks and adventures all year round. Indoors, you can enjoy a great movie experience on our large TV with 5.1 surround sound system. Thanks to the log house construction, you'll enjoy a unique acoustic experience that makes movies and music even more impressive. We enjoy the silence, the sauna and cozy barbecues with friends. When the kids are tucked in, we love to relax in the sauna and enjoy the peace and quiet. The nearby beach is child-friendly with low tide and calm fjord water, perfect for small children. We love to use our paddle boards in the fjord and the nearby forest is also a favorite destination where we often go for walks and enjoy nature. There are many local attractions that the whole family will love. Visit Hansens Dairy for delicious ice cream or pick strawberries at Svanholm Estate and enjoy the beautiful nature. Jægerspris Castle and Selsø Castle are also exciting places to explore, and there are great restaurants in the area that we often visit with our family.
