Mountain cabin with log burner and ski trails

This mountain cabin has no running water or electricity—and that's exactly what makes your stay special. A petrol-powered generator provides electricity, which powers the composting toilet, lights and TV. You can collect water from a stream ten metres from the cabin or from a spring a hundred metres behind it. You'll enjoy a simple, peaceful life close to nature.

Inside, you’ll find a wood-burning stove that warms the room and invites you to knit, read, and play cards. The cabin has a good selection of card and board games. The atmosphere’s usually calm, but it livens up when the whole family gathers around the table.

Outside, a stream flows right by—it gurgles quietly during dry spells and roars during the snowmelt. A cup of coffee on the steps with a view down the valley's a wonderful way to start the day. Fresh mountain air and nature right outside the door define your stay. Kilometres of groomed ski trails are just a hundred metres from the cabin. It’s about an hour’s hike to the summit of Odnakk, with views of Hallingskarvet and Vedalen. Geilo, with its shops, cafés, restaurants and alpine slopes, is just a short distance away. It’s a ten-minute walk to Hagafoss and the nearest grocery store. From the car park, it’s a five-hundred-metre walk up to the cabin.
