The retro summer house here at the tip of Sjællands Odde is cozy and personal. The warm wooden walls embrace you, and the wood-burning stove in the heart of the living room gives warmth to the rest of the house. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway, where you can snuggle under the blanket, make a good cup of coffee and put on a vinyl record. Or use the wireless speaker instead if you prefer. Families with young children will also enjoy the warmth of the place - children can play freely and there's plenty of space both inside and out.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher and there are two bedrooms - both with double beds (140). A large conservatory with large windows leads out to the garden, which has a fire pit and plenty of space for ball games and play.

Our names are Trine and Allan, and we live on Amager with our two children and our sweet dog Elton. When we took over the family summer house at the tip of Sjællands Odde in 2020, it wasn't really in the cards for us to have our own summer house, but we jumped into it and we love it.

For us, going "to the countryside" is a free space where we take the time to do the things that make us happy and at the pace that feels right. Long walks, slow coffee, hanging out with friends or tackling projects and small renovations around the house - that's "cottage happiness" for us.

We love taking long walks along the coast. We also like to drive to Vig to visit the Tuskemarket on Saturdays. Or a trip to Havnebyen where you can buy fresh fish on the harbor at "Odden fisk", a good cup of coffee at "Havnebyens kaffebar" or visit the farm shop "Birkemosegård", which sells organic vegetables, fruit and meat from our own breeding.
