Just where the road bends under the green crowns of the trees lies this beautiful thatched cottage, just a ten-minute walk from the tranquil beach at Båring Vig. Here you'll find plenty of rural idyll on the large, secluded plot with hollyhocks, crooked oak trees and the forest in the backyard.

The cottage exudes coziness and atmosphere and offers retro decor with lots of charm and soul from the 70s and 80s. In the family room, there's room for play, games, creativity, chatting around the dining table and lounging with your legs up on the sofa while preparing delicious cottage meals in the kitchen. Upstairs, you can relax under the pitched roof with the window slightly ajar so that the sound of the wind rustling in the treetops lulls you to sleep.

Between the two buildings of the cottage you'll find a lovely sheltered area for socializing, or you can spread a blanket on the grassy slope and relax while the children run and play in the open air. From the cottage, you can walk to the quiet beach at Båring Vig in ten minutes, where you'll find a jetty and a beautiful view over the water towards the Jutland coast.

Our names are Gitte and Kent. We have owned our lovely cottage since 2014. For several years we were looking for a holiday home in this beautiful and exclusive area, where all the houses are situated on large plots. We have done a lot to preserve the style of the 70s and 80s when the house was built.

We love the secluded location and the fact that the cottage and grounds exude peace and quiet. On one side we have a lovely forest that provides a backdrop of birdsong and frequent visits from squirrels, deer, hares and pheasants. On the other side is an undeveloped cottage plot, which we also own. It's about 400 meters to a lovely beach with a jetty.

We love to go for walks in the area, such as a walk along the cliff to Varbjerg Harbor or a walk through the forest to Båringskov gl. Badehotel, which offers an excellent fish buffet. In and around Middelfart, which we often visit, there is a cozy pedestrian street with several cafés and restaurants, and the opportunity for bridge walking and walks in the lovely nature. A hike on the Hindsgavl Peninsula is a treat for the soul.

The house is incredible, we felt at home immediately. The house has everything you could wish for: fully equipped kitchen, (indoor and outdoor) games, books, CD, DVD's, toys, musical instruments, supboards, bicycles, etc. Everything in the house same style, very well thought out. The house is a short walk from the beach, which was very quiet when we were there. The house also has a great large garden, with fruit trees and sitting areas. Highly recommended!
