Authentic 1970s summer house in Marielyst

This holiday home's a true child of the ’70s—wooden walls, slate floors, and shades of red and brown. It's a house with character, and as soon as you step inside, you're immersed in an atmosphere that owners have carefully preserved. The open-plan kitchen and living area, with a fireplace and direct access to the partially covered patio, serves as the home's natural gathering place.

The house features one bedroom, a bathroom, and an entryway. We've recently renovated the kitchen, and it's got everything you need to cook from scratch. In the entryway, you'll also find a newer washing machine. The floor plan is simple and functional, and the warm materials beautifully tie the rooms together.

The garden's picturesque, with a wide variety of plants and a small wooded area at the back. It's teeming with wildlife—the neighbour's squirrel almost always stops by, and deer and hares are regular visitors. In season, you can pick the garden's morello cherries, quinces, and apples, and there's also a small herb garden.

The town of Marielyst is about a 10-minute walk away, with restaurants, shops, ice cream, bars, and places to shop, including a butcher. Denmark’s best beach is about 10 minutes from the house. Bøtøskoven, south of the holiday home, offers nature and wild horses—you can easily reach it by bike or car. If you're in the mood for a longer trip, Pomlenakke and Hæsnæs Harbour are great destinations.
