We're a family of four who love to take a trip to our lovely cottage after a long week in Copenhagen. Here we enjoy the fresh air and the silence that greets us as soon as we arrive. The children jump out of the car and immediately play in the garden, and all we can hear is the wind in the trees and the birds singing. We use the cottage all year round and enjoy both soaking up the sun on the terrace and sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee and a fire in the stove.
When we're here, we like to take walks along the path just outside the house to the protected nature area Ruslands Bakker with the Rudolph Tegner Museum & Statue Park. We also often go to the beach or cycle along the water to Hornbæk town and visit the harbor and beach playground. Esrum Monastery is also always worth a visit, while you can get delicious ice cream and chocolate at Peter Beier Ørsholt Gods.
