We are a family of four who love to take a trip to our lovely summer house after a long week in Copenhagen. Here we enjoy the fresh air and the silence that greets us as soon as we arrive. The kids jump out of the car and immediately start playing in the garden, and all we can hear is the wind in the trees and the birds singing. We use the cottage all year round, enjoying the sun on the terrace and sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee and a fire in the stove.
When we are here, we like to take walks along the path right outside the house to the protected nature area Ruslands Bakker with Rudolph Tegner's Museum & Statue Park. We also often walk to the beach or cycle along the water to Hornbæk town and visit the harbor and beach playground. Esrum Monastery is also always worth a visit, while you can get delicious ice cream and chocolate at Peter Beier Ørsholt Gods.
