Beautiful and charming blue gem

Our names are Rikke and Andreas, and we live in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, with our three children. We’re both teachers and love to escape to our little blue oasis whenever we need a break from the daily grind. We love Betty Blue and the special sense of calm that always comes with our time there. Our friends and families love the place just as much as we do, which is why we often spend wonderful time with them at ‘Betty.’

The sandy beach at the end of the road is a daily ‘must’—here you can see the most beautiful sunsets year-round, and in the summer, an evening swim in the last rays of the sun is fantastic.

We use the area a lot for walks and bike rides, and besides trips to the beach, we love walking along the pebble beach at Klint and through the large forest areas in Odsherred. In the summer, the Tuske Market in Vig is often on the agenda for finding great flea market finds, and our local thrift shop ‘Krage og ko’ is worth a daily visit. We love visiting Nygårdens Gårdbutik and Birkemosegaard, and during the summer months, an ice cream from the local ice cream shop in Lumsås is a special treat.
