Rural apartment with views of Lake Trasimeno

A beautiful, exceptionally well-maintained property with a wonderful hostess We spent two wonderful weeks here with our family and can truly recommend this place. The vacation rental itself is very spacious, spans two floors, and, with three bedrooms, offers plenty of room even for a family. It also features a lovely balcony with seating and is very well-equipped. Everything was exceptionally clean upon our arrival and, overall, exceptionally well-maintained. We were particularly impressed by the entire complex. The pool is very beautiful and very clean. Each vacation rental has its own umbrella and two lounge chairs. The garden is wonderfully maintained, and there’s an incredible amount for families to enjoy: a tennis court complete with tennis rackets and balls, a soccer field, a ping-pong table, and a trampoline. Our two girls especially made the most of the pool, tennis, and soccer. A huge shout-out goes to Gisella. She’s a truly wonderful host. Upon our arrival, she gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the entire property, and explained everything in great detail. She thought of every little detail—from the washing machine to the vegetable garden, the herb bed, and all the things guests are allowed to use. This made us feel very comfortable and welcome right from the start. The service during our stay was also outstanding. Halfway through our two-week stay, Gisella provided us with a complete change of towels and bed linens without us even asking. Little touches like that simply show that she truly cares about her guests’ well-being. Although there are several vacation rentals on the property, we always had plenty of privacy and were able to keep to ourselves. There were a few guests who were a bit loud, but that didn’t affect our stay at all. The location is somewhat secluded and therefore pleasantly quiet. At the same time, supermarkets and restaurants are only about a ten-minute drive away. The accommodation is ideally situated for excursions to southern Tuscany and Umbria. Many interesting cities and attractions are within about one to one and a half hours’ drive. We do have one small request for the future, however: A permanently installed air conditioning system in the apartments would be a nice addition, especially during the hot summer months. The stone house does get quite warm from the daily sun, and with the windows open, the road—which can be quite busy at times, especially with speeding cars or occasional heavy truck traffic—can be a bit disruptive at night for light sleepers. For us, this wasn’t a reason to enjoy our stay any less, but air conditioning would certainly make things much more comfortable on very hot days. Otherwise, we felt completely at home and would come back anytime. We’re happy to highly recommend this accommodation—especially to families looking for peace and quiet, plenty of space, a beautifully maintained complex with great recreational opportunities, and, at the same time, an excellent starting point for excursions in Umbria and southern Tuscany.
