Log cabin with turf roof and sauna in Hovden

This traditional log cabin with a thatched roof and exposed woodwork offers you a warm and authentic mountain experience. Log walls, wood paneling, and natural materials create an atmosphere that fits perfectly with the mountains, and the sauna is worth its weight in gold after a long day outdoors.

The cabin consists of two log sections connected by a central section with a hallway and bathroom. In the living room, large windows let in plenty of light and offer views of the mountains, while the wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth. The large terrace is perfect for a cup of coffee in the sun or a glass of wine in the evening.

The property is secluded at the end of a small road, surrounded by mountain birch and heather. Here you’ll find peace and quiet and can enjoy the mountain scenery in serene surroundings, whether it’s winter with snow or green summer days.

The cross-country ski trails start right outside the door and connect you to Hovden’s extensive trail network. In the summer, the classic Hovdenuten trail is just a few hundred meters away, and in the center of Hovden you’ll find Hovden Fjellbad, bakeries, restaurants, and shops. Setesdalen also offers beautiful nature and small villages to explore.
