Simple forest cabin near Drammen

Just two kilometers from civilization, an authentic cabin experience awaits where you can completely unwind. Here you'll stay in a simple but comfortable cabin with solar power and a wood-burning stove, perfect for those who appreciate the simplicity of cabin life.

The cabin has a practical floor plan with three bedrooms - two in the loft and one on the ground floor. The living room and kitchen are combined in one room, where the wood-burning stove spreads warmth and atmosphere. You'll find everything you need to cook great meals on the gas stove, while candles and solar lamps provide cozy lighting.

Outside, there's a terrace with a fire pit where you can enjoy evenings under the stars. There's a woodshed and an outhouse right next to the cabin, and in summer you can take a refreshing shower in the outdoor shower.

From the cabin you can explore Strømsåsen's many hiking opportunities all year round. In winter, there are kilometers of ski slopes and trails right outside the door, while in summer you can go hiking, mountain biking and swimming. You can choose from countless trails and hiking paths in varied terrain.

NB: Please note that this is a charming and simple cabin. It is in good condition, with electricity from solar cells, but without running water. On arrival you will find 10 liters of clean drinking water in water cans, but brought water is recommended for longer stays. Water for washing up and hygiene can be fetched from a nearby stream. An outdoor shower is only available in summer. The cabin is located along a toll road, and the last leg requires a 2 kilometer walk or ski tour.
