For me, Gotland means summer, nature, incredible sunsets, peace, beaches and sand between my toes. My husband and I live in Denmark, but I was born and raised on Gotland. Our summer house, which had been in the same family for generations before we bought it in 2019, is a very special place for us. The house was built in 1912 and we have put a lot of energy into preserving its turn-of-the-century style while giving it a modern twist. Not only do we have a magnificent sea view from our house, but we also have access to swimming and proximity to beautiful nature trails. It is a perfect place for barbecues and our children love to watch the little rabbits hopping around nearby.
