Views over the Nidelva river and hills in Åmli

From your bed, you wake up to a view straight out into nature, and from the terrace, you can see the Nidelven River flowing quietly below. The cabin has been completely renovated and is powered by solar panels and off-grid solutions; the goal has been to keep it comfortable without losing the feeling of being in the heart of nature.

The cabin is unpainted and blends naturally into its surroundings. The renovation has preserved its simple character while providing everything you need for a pleasant stay. It’s a place designed to help you slow down.

In the evening, you’ll hear wildlife around the cabin, and in the fall, deer and roe deer call out from the mountains. There are birdhouses hung throughout the area, so you have a good chance of seeing birds up close during your stay. The cabin is off-grid and enjoys a peaceful location in the woods. There is no parking at the cabin! From the parking lot, you’ll walk about 150 meters up a forest trail through the woods to the cabin. The water supply has an automatic pump that should be turned on as needed.

In Åmli, you’ll find Åmli Bakery with fresh bread and cinnamon buns, and Åmli Gårdsmeieri with locally produced food. Trogfjell offers Via Ferrata, rock climbing, hiking and cultural trails, and Badeparken in the town center is open for children during summer vacation.
