Log cabin from 1874 on grain farm near Oslo

Here you’ll stay in a 150-year-old cabin built of solid log timber. It has been restored using non-toxic linseed oil paint, and the old windows lend a unique atmosphere through their historic glass. A wood-burning stove provides warmth and tranquility as you gaze into the flames.

The interior blends heirloom furniture with modern Scandinavian design. The double bed is from Jensen, a renowned Norwegian supplier that ensures a good night’s sleep. The cabin has a gas stove, hot and cold water in the kitchen and in the shower. There is a composting toilet that is completely odor-free.

Outside the cabin, you’ll find a private patio with a fire pit and grill. A path leads into the Hundremetersskogen forest, where ten Viking graves and a bench invite you to enjoy the silence and birdsong.

You’ll be staying on a farm that grows grain, surrounded by moose, deer, foxes, badgers, and beavers. The Romeriksåsen mountains are 15–20 minutes away for mountain adventures. Downtown Oslo is just 25 minutes away, with museums, city life, and swimming beaches in both the sea and freshwater.
