Not far from the North Sea coast, surrounded by green expanses, lies the picturesque village of Tetenbüll. Here on the Eiderstedt peninsula, between the endless sandy beach of Sankt Peter-Ording, the pretty harbor town of Tönning and the UNESCO cultural heritage site of Friedrichstadt, a stylish retreat has been created from a former pastorate.
The house, built in 1780, houses a total of three apartments. Your temporary home is like a small house within a house and can accommodate up to 15 people. Decorated in white with old wooden floorboards and ceilings, you will be immersed in a world of country idyll and minimalist elegance. The furnishings with designer furniture, industrial-style elements and selected unique pieces create a unique atmosphere, as does the ceiling with its wooden beams.
On two floors, connected by a beautifully refurbished staircase, there are
four rooms with double beds and a family room with a double bed, bunk bed and sofa bed, as well as a room with a bunk bed, where both young and old guests can enjoy a cozy stay.
Three bathrooms, all with Moroccan cement tiles, offer a total of three toilets, three showers and a bathtub. The highlight? Your own sauna. There is plenty of space for spending time with your loved ones in the large, bright kitchen and living area.
In the outdoor area, a park-like garden with a pond, you will find a true paradise. Catch the sun's rays, read a good book under the old trees or explore the area around Tetenbüll on foot or by bike.
Important note: We love thatched-roof vacation homes - when dealing with fire and electricity, we ask guests to ensure that the thatched roof is not exposed to any risk of fire. You will receive more detailed instructions from your host.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

As a large Viennese family, we fell madly in love with the North Sea during our time in Hamburg. By a lucky coincidence, we were able to acquire the former pastorate, one of the most beautiful houses on the Eiderstedt peninsula, in 2017 and save the listed building from decay. In this way, we have created a permanent anchor in the north. In 2018, we painstakingly and carefully renovated our old Frisian longhouse under the expert supervision of the conservation authorities and created three vacation apartments. We have turned the house into a private retreat on the North Sea, incorporating the highest quality and many personal details to ensure that our guests feel as comfortable here as we do.
