Not far from the North Sea coast, surrounded by green expanses, is the picturesque village of Tetenbüll. Here on the Eiderstedt peninsula, between the endless sandy beach of St. Peter-Ording, the pretty harbor town of Tönning and the UNESCO cultural heritage site of Friedrichstadt, a stylish retreat has emerged from a former pastorate.

Built in 1780, the house houses a total of three apartments. Your temporary home is like a small house of its own in the house and offers space for up to 15 people. Decorated in white with old wooden floorboards and ceilings, you will be immersed in a world of country idyll and minimalist elegance. The furnishings with designer furniture, industrial-style elements and selected unique pieces create a unique atmosphere, as does the ceiling with wooden beams.

On two floors, connected by a beautifully refurbished staircase, there are

four rooms with double beds and a family room with a double bed, bunk bed and shclaf couch, as well as a room with a bunk bed, where both small and large guests can be comfortable.

Three bathrooms, all laid with Moroccan cement tiles, offer a total of three toilets, three showers and a bathtub. The highlight? Your own sauna. For spending time with your loved ones you will find enough space in the large bright kitchen and living area.

In the outdoor area, a park-like garden with pond, you will find a true paradise. Catch the sun's rays, read a good book under the old trees or explore the area around Tetenbüll on foot or by bike.

Important note: We love thatched roof vacation homes - when dealing with fire and electricity we ask guests to take care that the thatched roof is not exposed to any fire risk. You will receive more detailed instructions from your host.

Tourism Fee not included

A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night and should be settled with the host upon arrival.

  • Behind red brick and white mullioned windows, centuries of history and stylish modernity come together
  • The mix of designer furniture, antique unique pieces and modern industrial elements creates a stylish as well as cozy place of well-being
  • The park-like garden creates a direct connection with nature and a place for rest and recharging your batteries

As a Viennese extended family, we fell madly in love with the North Sea during our time in Hamburg. By a lucky coincidence, we were able to acquire one of the most beautiful houses on the Eiderstedt peninsula in 2017, the former Pastorat, and save the listed building from decay. In this way, we have created a permanent anchor in the north. In 2018, we have lavishly and carefully renovated our old Frisian longhouse under the expert guidance of the monument protection authority and created three vacation apartments. We have turned the house into a private retreat on the North Sea, incorporating the highest quality and many personal details so that our guests feel as comfortable here as we do.
