The cabin owner is 47 years old and has an 11-year-old daughter, and for us the cabin is a mountain paradise. We use the cabin together all year round, and are happy to invite friends and family. The cabin is a sanctuary where we can relax and be together in a different way than we are at home and it's great to get a break from everyday life. Steintjønn faces west and has Vegglifjell's longest sunrise and incredibly beautiful sunsets.

The cabin is surrounded by large, untouched natural areas that we use a lot during the summer months. In the summer, there are also lots of great swimming and fishing opportunities here and we love to go hiking or cycling. We often go hiking and cycling along the disused Numdal railway, and the possibility of borrowing boats and canoes gives us great conditions for good experiences together.

In winter, we love to spend time indoors, and do a lot of skiing, both cross-country and downhill. It's always nice to have a hot bubble bath in winter after an active day. We often go up to Nordre Veggli at Veggli Skisenter where we can go downhill skiing and tobogganing, and there's also a cozy mountain restaurant where they serve good food. If we want to ski on bigger slopes, we go to Ulvdal Ski Center, which is about 55 minutes away.
