Welcome to Lårdal. My name is Magnus, and my dear wife Karoline and I own this wonderful treetop cabin. We live with our animals on a small farm not far away. I have a background in carpentry, tourism and an interest in sustainability, which has laid the foundation for the construction planning of "Elvehytta". Here we find peace and quiet, are charmed by the abundant wildlife and watch the squirrels play in the trees.
The cabin is just a few minutes on foot from the parking lot. Follow the edge of the field you drive past just before the parking lot. Along the ridge towards the parking lot you will see signage, and the trail takes you on an old but large animal track into the cabin.
We usually relax in the hammocks on the porch, explore the waterfall or go on long and short hikes. We often see moose or deer when exploring Støylsdalen, which is only a short walk from the cabin.
