Hi! Our names are Sissel & Per Morten, and we own this cabin. Our family loves to be active in our spare time and the cabin and its location therefore suits us very well! There are many fishing opportunities close to the cabin and the salmon river Orkla is a short half-hour drive from the cabin. When we're at the cabin, we often go hiking in the mountains, either on skis or with hiking boots on. We are often by the water just below the cabin. We have a canoe here and we use it either just to fish or just paddle around in the beautiful natural surroundings. We also swim here a lot in the summer and we have two SUP boards at the cabin that we also use a lot in the summer. In the fall, we can pick mullet, blueberries and mushrooms near the cabin. We also love to go hammock hiking and at the cabin there are two hiking hammocks with mosquito nets and also a summer hammock we hang up in the trees outside the cabin in the summer.
When we're at the cabin, we like to start the day with a cup of coffee in the morning sun at the back of the cabin. In the evening, we like to enjoy the evening sun on the veranda while playing darts or barbecuing with a view of the mountains. Here we have evening sun until nine/ten in the evening in the middle of summer. We use the cabin all year round and believe that all seasons here at the cabin are worth experiencing.
It only takes an hour to drive to Trondheim if you want to experience some city life during your stay. Otherwise, you can go bowling, play frisbee golf or go to Orklandbadet in Orkanger, which is just 20 minutes from the cabin.
The hiking terrain around the cabin is easy to walk and there are also several opportunities for nice bike rides into the mountains from the cabin for those who wish.
