Farmhouse in the Thuringian Rhön

Your retreat awaits you in a lovingly renovated half-timbered house from the early 20th century. Across 170 square meters, historic charm blends with modern comfort: original wooden floorboards, natural building materials such as clay plaster, and a ventilated larch wood facade create a cozy atmosphere.

The farmhouse offers five bedrooms spread across three floors. On the ground floor, you’ll find three bedrooms and two bright bathrooms with natural light. The first floor houses two additional bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious dining room that seats up to ten people. All bedrooms feature LAN connections and blackout curtains.

The converted attic invites you to linger with a cozy sofa corner, TV, and a large dining table. The 20 m² terrace in front of the entrance offers space for relaxed barbecue evenings. In the barn, you’ll find storage space for cars and bicycles as well as a charging station for electric cars.

The Thuringian Rhön is right at your doorstep. Hikes along the Green Belt or to the Ellenbogen, the region’s highest mountain, start right from the house. The location in the former border area with Hesse reflects the diverse cultural influences of this unique landscape. Pets are welcome.
