I inherited the summer house from my parents, who have owned it since the 1960s. I’ve spent half a year renovating HV47—as we call our summer house—into a family vacation home for my children, in-laws, and grandchildren. We’ve all had a say in the interior design and the transformation the house has undergone over the past half year. The transformation is a shared project where we take the time to just be there and get a feel for what the next step should be. This is where we relax and spend time together.

There were four adults and two children in our group. That was a perfect fit for Helle’s vacation home. It could even accommodate two more adults. The children had their own room with a bunk bed and a small loft. We really enjoyed our time at the vacation home, surrounded by peace and quiet, nature, and deer.
