At an altitude of 1000 meters, an extraordinary 300-year-old farmhouse awaits you, carefully blended with modern architecture and high-quality design. The meter-thick foundation walls tell stories of times gone by, while striking mirrored windows look into the future.
In this unique hideaway, you will find a separate lounge with a Swedish stove, a cozy bar and a bright meditation room on the upper floor. The wooden sleeping chamber on the second level with a metal-free bed and interior shutters promises a restful night's sleep, while selected designer furniture and hand-blown lamps ensure timeless elegance.
The 6-hectare property surprises with a blooming cottage garden, various herbs and a double hammock under an old plum tree. The three-part wooden terrace is ideal for yoga, while the hotel's own fountain provides fresh spring water.
Located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, the surrounding area offers endless possibilities: Hike through primeval forests, explore the nearby national parks or take day trips to the World Heritage town of Krumau. In winter, the Hochficht and Mitterdorf ski resorts beckon with their snow-sure slopes.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

I am Ingrid, a farmer's daughter and autodidact with a keen sense of genuine craftsmanship and architecture, combined with a passion for aesthetics, design and a love of nature. After years away from home, I returned to the countryside and, together with my husband Lothar, realized my dream of a design retreat in the hills of the Bavarian forest by converting my parents' farm.
The result is a retreat and starting point for nature-loving people who enjoy good design and want seclusion and relaxation, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We look forward to sharing this special place with you.
On request, I can serve a special breakfast and coffee and cake in the afternoon as an additional service, as I also live in this wonderful place.
