Here, you’ll be staying on a large, natural lot where tall trees and a standard rhododendron give the garden its character. The house is small and functionally designed with classic summer house charm, but is complemented by an annex and a converted sunroom, providing plenty of space to spread out.

The sunroom has been renovated with a fireplace insert and serves as an extra living space year-round. The house, the annex, and the terraces flow naturally into one another, allowing you to move freely between indoors and outdoors. The large terrace is the gathering spot during the day, while the small terrace in front of the annex is best in the late afternoon. In the evening, you can light a fire in the fire pit.

The garden is just as important as the house. There’s a rich variety of birdlife, and deer, squirrels, and hares are regularly spotted on the property. SPAR is just a few minutes’ walk from the house, so it’s easy to pick up fresh rolls or shop for ingredients for a barbecue dinner.

My favorite route in the area is a bike ride through Sandflugtsplantagen and across the dunes to the wide sandy beach, with a stop at Louie & Venner on the way back. Rørvig Harbor offers pizza at Lodsoldermandsgården and crabs from the pier, and Nykøbing Sjælland is just a short trip away.
