Charming historical Thorsø manor

In Fredrikstad you'll find the beautiful Thorsø Manor and "Værket", where you can enjoy a truly unique experience. Fredrikstad's history is strong here, as this manor house has stood for several hundred years. "Værket" is a charming part of the manor house, with three unique bedrooms and a warming sauna. Just outside "Værket" you will find the large apple orchard, which has provided the family with apples for many years.

Inside the cabin, you are greeted by traditional furnishings and immediately get the feeling of traveling back in time. Here, the three bedrooms have each been given their own name, namely "Blue Man", "Aunt Green" and "Kristian's Sunrise", which adds even more to the charm of the Manor House. In the dining room, which has been christened "gamlestua", the whole traveling party can enjoy each other's company while soaking up the charming atmosphere.

In the area around Thorsø Manor, you can explore green forests, rushing streams and the long coastline with beautiful beaches and rocky outcrops. Go to Rævatangen or Askedalstangen, smell the sea air and explore the small towns along the coast. Take the drive to Fredrikstad Gamleby where the shops, cafés and galleries bring the whole town to life.
