In the southern part of the island of Rügen, very close to the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, stands the historic manor house from the 16th century, which has been run by the Wellenberg family for over 20 years. After the house was completely abandoned to decay in the last century, the family lovingly rebuilt it in cooperation with the monument protection authorities and created a place that attracts nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet from all over Germany.
There are a total of 7 vacation apartments on the upper floors of the manor house as well as various rooms on the first floor that can be hired for conferences and celebrations.
This beautiful vacation apartment is located on the second floor on the left-hand side of the house and is ideal for smaller groups or families with a small child. There are two bedrooms with double beds and two separate, luxurious bathrooms. In the living room there is a cozy sitting area with a pull-out sofa, which can be pulled out to provide additional sleeping space. The living room flows into the kitchen, where there is a kitchenette and a large dining table. There is everything you could wish for during a longer stay, and the large windows offer an unobstructed view of the seemingly boundless natural landscape that surrounds the house on all sides. There is a sun terrace in the garden and the park in which the manor house stands is a truly unique place with its proximity to the water on all four sides and the old trees.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

The open-plan living and dining area with large dining table and adjoining seating area is modern and cozy at the same time
Manor house from the 16th century in an absolutely quiet location in the middle of a beautiful park with old trees.
The "Üselitzer Wiek", a protected bay in the south of Rügen, surrounds the estate on all sides
We are Pete and Astrid and together with our four grown-up children we have been running this beautiful manor house on Rügen for 20 years. The house is a listed building and dates back to the 16th century, but in the 1960s it fell into ruin and we took it over in 1998. In the following years, the historic manor house was then rebuilt and renovated by us and with the support of the Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and has been fully completed since 2018. The manor park surrounding the house is also a listed building and is part of the house with its fruit trees, some of which are hundreds of years old, and the adjoining water landscape. With a lot of effort and love, our family has created a place for people who appreciate space and nature and are very happy to welcome guests here.

The whole environment is very atmospheric and you feel a few centuries back, but in a good sense. The landscape is picturesque and the park is well maintained. The house is minimalist but cozy and equipped with everything you could want in your time out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
