Nearby is Oehlenschläger’s Beech Tree by the beach, with a view toward Lolland—said to be the place where the Danish national anthem was written. A coastal walk to Spodsbjerg, about 4 km away, is recommended: there you’ll find a ferry terminal and a café serving home-smoked fish. Dageløkke Harbor, Lohals, and Rudkøbing offer restaurants and cafés. Langelandsfortet is a Cold War museum featuring a submarine.
