Enjoy an idyllic getaway in south Norway

Only 15 minutes' drive from Kristiansand lies the beautiful island of Okse. This country house consists of two units; an old, worthy country house from 1836 (6 beds) and a furnished sea house with a private jetty (5 beds). Both have their own bathroom/toilet.

With warm timber walls, light colours, antique furniture and a homely style full of personality, the cottage is perfect for anyone who is concerned with aesthetics, location and family cosiness to upgrade to a higher unit. Here there is pleasure for all the senses and countless cozy nooks where you can sit and just enjoy life - either together or alone.

Inside the cabin, you will be greeted by the warm, cozy atmosphere and the lovely light. The kitchen is spacious, with plenty of space to cook together and a nice dining table with a bench, where you can sit and keep the chef company with something good in the glass. The atmospheric fireplace and delicious, soft sofa corner invite you to long conversations accompanied by dancing flames on cool days, while the garden has many cozy corners where you can sit both in the sun and in the shade of the trees on hot summer days.

There are many experiences in the area, and the sea house offers everything from a private jetty and campfire, to two kayaks, SUP and fishing equipment that give you the opportunity to experience the summer idyll from the water too. The sea house consists of a living room, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor, and 5 beds on the second floor.

After a good night's sleep, you can wake up to the sound of the wind in the treetops outside and enjoy a cup of coffee in the cozy nook in the kitchen or from the delicious wicker chair under the lush trees in the garden before you have breakfast together. Here you can really relax your shoulders and just enjoy the summer together as a family - a real break from the city and everyday life. This is the southern idyll at its very best.
