Family cabin between Vierli and Rauland

Built in 2009, this family cabin sits at an elevation of 1,000 metres above sea level, ensuring reliable snow cover in winter. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, and the view looks out towards the Rauland Mountains. The cabin's designed for families and it's ideal for those seeking a great base in the mountains all year round.

The cabin has two storeys—95 m² on the ground floor and approximately 30 m² on the first floor. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove provide warmth, and the high-quality materials and furnishings make it easy to settle in. There's parking for three cars.

The terrace runs along three sides of the cabin, so you can choose which side to sit on depending on the time of day. Uvatn and Farhovdtjern are within walking distance, and hiking trails begin right outside—both in summer and winter.

The cabin sits between the Vierli Ski Centre and the Rauland High Mountain Hotel, with 150 km of groomed cross-country trails and varied alpine slopes on Raulandsfjell. In summer, you can take a high-mountain cruise on Lake Møsvatn to the Mogen tourist cabin or fish for trout and char with a fishing licence. In downtown Rauland, you’ll find grocery stores and the Lega café, which serves local specialties.
