We are Lene and Iver, and we built our dream cabin in 2021 on a plot of land Iver inherited from his parents. The plot belonged to the farm his parents owned and Iver grew up in Valdres, where summers were spent in the mountains with dairy cows. "We live in western Norway, but we go to the mountains as often as we can - summer and winter. We like the modern comfort of the cabin and the view of Jotunheimen was the focus when building the cabin, which is why it is designed with large windows that let in light, views and nature.
The mountain is fantastic all year round and in winter we can strap on our skis on the stairs and walk for miles in the fantastic surroundings of the mountain. If alpine skiing is desired, there is a ski resort just 10 minutes by car from the cottage, and there are several larger ski resorts less than an hour away. In summer, the area is perfect for both cycling and hiking, and there are plenty of great opportunities for young and old. Famous areas such as Grønsennknippa, Skogshorn and Jotunheimen are nearby, and Bitihorn and Besseggen are less than an hour away if you want to go on these beautiful hikes.
