Imagine a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a charming cabin that promises a genuine back-to-nature experience. Warm up to a cozy atmosphere with a wood-burning stove and fireplace, and enjoy the tranquility that can only be found off the beaten track.
Inside, a fully operational kitchen with a gas stove and a new gas refrigerator awaits. The living room invites you to relax with comfortable chairs and an open fireplace, while two cozy bedrooms promise a good night's sleep after a day of adventure. Please note that there is no hot water in the cabin.
Outside, the cabin is surrounded by spruce trees, offering complete privacy. The simple but charming patio includes a fire pit, perfect for evening meals under the stars.
When the spirit of adventure strikes, ski trails and hiking trails are just a few steps away. Skardstupfossen waterfall is only a 10-minute drive away, and the marked hiking trail up Skagsvola offers an unforgettable nature experience.

Our cabin is a refuge we travel to on weekends to get away and recharge our batteries. It is a cabin without electricity or running water, and without a bathroom. It heats up quickly with a catalytic stove when we arrive, a wood-burning stove in the kitchen and a fireplace in the living room. It is a good old-fashioned cabin, where we have enjoyed outdoor life since the 1970s with skiing and mountain hiking in gentle terrain, before settling down in front of the fireplace with a good book in the evenings. We are a family with adult children and a Portuguese water dog who also enjoy using the cabin and, not least, the hiking terrain. The cabin was taken over from my parents by me, Marte, in 2019 and refurbished inside to improve both comfort and usability. Together with my husband, we are also in the process of upgrading the outdoors, with a new outdoor toilet that was completed in 2021 and a shower house that will be completed in the summer of 2024.
