My husband and I are architects, and our cottage is the result of many sketches and long discussions between architect wife and husband. I myself grew up in Gjeving, and we have built our holiday paradise here with fantastic help from local craftsmen and suppliers.
The dream cabin is built with plenty of space and a focus on being together, but also good rooms and space to be apart. There is plenty of space in the practical and modern kitchen, and we like to gather around the long table or settle down in one of the many cozy nooks with a good book. Most of all, we like the view of the sea and nature, no matter where you are in the cabin. Around the cabin, you can explore the beautiful nature along the coast or take a trip to beautiful Lyngør, which is idyllic and untouched with its car-free paths, white-painted houses and long history.
There is a small sandy beach directly below the cottage which is suitable if you have small children and otherwise there are nice swimming opportunities along the entire coastline.
Along the coast are the small, white southern villages like pearls on a string with short distances for pleasant day visits.
