Skovly is a traditional, small cottage gem with charming details and surrounded by the most beautiful nature. Among the tall trees, the cottage is sheltered from prying eyes and the wind of the North Sea.
The heart of the cottage is decorated with calm colours and attention to detail. The beautifully restored FDB chairs, the old teak table and the small flea finds create a homely atmosphere where there is room to let your thoughts fly. The dining table can be pulled out to accommodate a dinner for as many as 12 people, so the family can really get together here. The new blue kitchen allows for great meals and from here you can easily join in the conversation at the dining table. The sofa corner invites moments of togetherness and relaxation. With the candles lit and a view of the trees and garden, tranquillity can descend completely. The summer house is small, but every detail has been thought of.
The bedrooms both have good double beds and storage space. Instead of windows, patio doors have been installed here, through which the sun can shine in. Opening out to all the greenery brings nature all the way in.
Outside, there is a new wilderness pool hidden behind the trees and from here you can enjoy the starry sky with a cold glass and good conversation. The area offers forest and plantation, great walks, bike rides and nature adventures. The North Sea is a few kilometres from the cottage, so if you need a good blow, take a trip out to the water.

We are a family of five who searched for several years for the perfect holiday home and finally found it. We fell in love with the small and traditional cottage from 1957, and we have recently renovated and refurbished it ourselves. We were looking for nature, and were sure it would be close to the North Sea. Skovly was also a cottage that was very close to the old owners and one of the purchase conditions was that the house should be preserved and not just demolished. As well as loving the fact that it's a real cottage, that's why we've renovated it with the original charm in mind.
When we are at the cottage we often visit Blåbjerg Plantage, which is known for good cycling and walking routes. We also like to visit the North Sea. Especially Houstrup Strand, which is close by, we think is good. The towns we most often visit are Hvide Sande, where you can have a good lunch, Henne Strand with shopping and cafes and Blåvand can also be reached within about 30 minutes. There are lots of places to visit: the Filsø, Bork Harbour which is especially good for kite surfing and the wonderful Tirpitz museum.
