Enjoy nature and tradition in cabin Valdres

Welcome to our charming cabin in the heart of Vaset, Valdres! Here you can unwind from the stresses of everyday life and enjoy nature right outside your door. In the summer, you can explore the many trails and 'milk roads' by bike, and Grønnsennknippa is definitely a destination you should aim for.

The cabin was upgraded in 2008 and is well insulated, making it perfect for all seasons. The kitchen is built on site and adds an extra personality. You'll also find pictures painted by the owner's grandfather, adding an extra layer of history and charm. A unique feature is the ability to use only the 1st floor by adding a 'lid' to the staircase, saving electricity in the cooler months.

Outside the cabin, you'll find a natural paradise, whatever the season. In winter, you can ski on the trails in the area, take the kids to the alpine slopes 4-5 km away, or try snowboarding. If you're more adventurous, try snowshoeing! And of course, there's no better way to end the day than a fun toboggan ride down the slopes.

When you return from your adventures, you can relax and learn more about the local wildlife. We have bird boxes and bird feeders right outside the cabin, as well as reference books on birds, plants, fungi and insects in the living room.
