Cabin with Stunning Views near Gaustatoppen

Welcome to a log cabin at Gaustablikk, where you can go downhill skiing or set course for Gaustatoppen. After a long day in the mountains, gather around the fire pit on the large terrace while the sunset paints the sky and shooting stars streak across the clear night sky. With a little luck, you will see the northern lights.

The large dining table is the cabin's gathering place with room for 12-14 people. The charming wood-burning stove keeps you warm, while the interior from several generations creates a family atmosphere. You will find antiques, sheepskins from our own production, books, and games. The turf roof and carvings bear witness to Norwegian building culture.

The large terrace has three areas where you can sunbathe or light a fire and cook dinner outside. The spacious living rooms provide space to be together or split into smaller groups. Remember to write a greeting in the cabin book before you leave!

A shuttle bus runs between the cabin area and the ski resort throughout the day. Go on summit hikes to Toreskyrkja or the child-friendly Ørnenipa, or take summer trips around Kvitåvatn and Langetjønn with campfire sites. Gausta offers SUP, bicycles, canoes, and mini golf. Rjukan is 20 minutes away and has a swimming pool.
