In this peaceful mountain cabin, where the silence is only broken by the sounds of nature, you can enjoy a majestic view of Dagali and Hardangervidda. The location at the end of a cul-de-sac ensures maximum peace and quiet, while the toboggan run and ski trails right outside the door invite you to enjoy outdoor activities all year round.
Inside, you are welcomed by a calm atmosphere with muted colors that create an immediate feeling of well-being. The open floor plan with a large dining table and an inviting sofa corner around the fireplace provides the perfect setting for quality time with family and friends. The loft living room provides extra space for relaxation or play.
The spacious terrace is like an extension of the living room and allows you to enjoy the view and the fresh mountain air. Here you can relax with your morning coffee or gather for a pleasant barbecue in the evening after the day's activities.
From the cabin, you have easy access to a wide range of activities. In summer, marked hiking trails such as Gamle Skurdalsveg and the hike to Ustetind beckon, while winter offers great ski trails for all levels of difficulty. A short drive takes you to the center of Geilo with alpine slopes, restaurants, and shops.

We are an active family who grew up with a cabin in Geilo, and this area has always been our natural choice. We love the combination of a very quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac and proximity to activities, whether it's cross-country skiing and downhill skiing in winter or hiking and cycling in summer. Here we wake up to the scent of mountain air and pleasant silence, interrupted only by birdsong, and with beautiful views of Dagali and the wide expanses of Hardangervidda. It is important to us that our guests experience the same peace and joy of mountain life that we do.
The cabin is bright and cozy with an open floor plan and furnished with a large dining table and comfortable sofa corners around the fireplace – perfect for long meals, good conversations, play, and relaxation. The loft provides extra space for play, relaxation, or a quiet moment with a book in hand or a good movie or series on the screen. The spacious terrace feels like an extension of the living room, and morning coffee is best enjoyed here, while the mountain views and fresh air set the mood for both summer and winter evenings.
The area invites you to be active all year round. In summer, hiking trails such as Gamle Skurdalsveg or the trip to Ustetind for spectacular views are tempting. There is also a nice, short walk to a swimming spot for the brave, and from there to the Ruperanden restaurant – a perfect morning or evening outing with or without a dog. In winter, the ski trails are varied and beautiful for all levels, and Ruperanden tempts with baked goods and other treats. The trip is easy and achievable even for those who are skiing for the very first time.
Geilo town center with downhill skiing, restaurants, and shopping is only a short drive away, so we think it's a perfect mix of tranquility and adventure up here.
Another great trip is a round trip around Skurdalsåsen. It is a beautiful hike with a 385 m climb. The round trip starts at Bruslettstølen, follows the old Skurdalsveg road and offers great views and cultural heritage sites along the way. You may also encounter horses, sheep, and cows.
Other trip and activity suggestions:
• Tuva tourist cabin and Hardangervidda
A good starting point for several unique mountain hikes, with many trails/paths and good signage. A waffle or two at Tuva is almost a must.
• Rallarvegen from Finse to Flåm
Cycle down from Finse to Flåm along beautiful mountain scenery. The train ride back via the Flåm Railway is an attraction in itself.
• We can also recommend other summer activities such as rafting, gorge walking (Dagali Fjellpark) and go-karting in Dagali, a short drive away, as well as a climbing park and zip line at Vestlia
