Refuge in the sand dunes at Langeland

The location of this classic summer house is totally unique. The private beach with fine, white sand and the large grounds with both beach meadows and old trees give the place a special sense of privacy and tranquility. A true retreat.

Imagine having your own sandy beach less than 100 meters from the house. And your own dune with marram grass. A beautiful place to watch the idyllic sunsets with a view of Ærø. The house has no TV or Wi-Fi and is a wonderful sanctuary, ideal for enjoying books, board games, walks by the sea and in beautiful landscapes.

The house is simply and cosily furnished with a mix of personal finds and Danish architect-designed furniture. There are two separate bedrooms and a nice alcove in the living room, which, in addition to extra sleeping space, can also be used as a nice reading corner.

The holiday home's fantastic location with its own beach meadow offers plenty of privacy. Here you can walk between the beach and the house as you please, the children can play freely, and on a windy day you can seek shelter in the dunes. The house's terrace has room for a couple of sun loungers and a dining table for 6-8 people, and there is also a table and bench set on the beach meadow, which is a lovely place to set the table. The beach itself is also a favorite place to spend time.

Find your good walking shoes and follow the Øhavs-stien trail, which takes you along the coast and across the island through beautiful natural areas, as well as three of the island's harbor towns: Rudkøbing, Spodsbjerg, and Lohals. You will also find wild horses at Gulstav mose, and Tryggelev Nor is one of the most bird-rich wetlands in Denmark. If you are interested in cultural history, there is the beautiful Tranekær Castle surrounded by the TICON sculpture park. On the way to Bagenkop with its cozy harbor environment, maritime museum, and galleries, you can turn off towards Langelandsfortet, a historical Cold War museum with activities for both children and adults. Locally, Ristinge Klint is a must, with a fine burial mound from the Stone Age. In Ristinge, there is also a small harbor where you can buy fresh fish from the fisherman Freddy.
