Green as far as the eye can see, the lake on your doorstep and the North Sea coast just 30 minutes away - this is what awaits you during your vacation in this enchanting apartment in the East Frisian village of Friedeburg. Built in 1872 and restored in 2020/2021, it belongs to a former forester's lodge in which there are five other apartments, which are accessible via the same house entrance.
In your temporary home, you can expect a skilful mix of romantic countryside and industrial chic. Located in the attic, the color concept wraps you in noble nuances of gray, blue and pink. The roof slopes and windows as well as the French balcony provide the extra portion of charm. With a view of the forest and the lake, you can finally relax here while the birds are chirping.
The open living and dining area creates a spacious living feeling and offers plenty of opportunities for soul-searching with a lounge sofa, which can also be converted into a sofa bed, and two large armchairs. In the stylishly designed country kitchen you will find all the high-quality equipment you need to conjure up your own delicacies. The apartment is complemented by the bedroom with a large box-spring bed for two people, which is also located under cozy sloping ceilings, as well as the modernly designed bathroom with a washstand and rain shower.
The region of East Frisia is diverse. Spend time in nature, whether in the Karl-Georgs-Forest or at the lake, or take a trip to one of the surrounding cities and explore culture and lifestyle. Either way, the motto here is: Everyday life off, time out on.

Highlights from Yvonne
Host since June 2023
Romantic charm paired with industrial chic make the apartment a stylistic place of well-being
French balcony gives a direct view of the forest and lake and brings nature into the house
The private lake and the adjacent Karl-Georgs-Forest of the Count's family von Wedel invite to bathing hours and long walks
I am Yvonne and the hostess in our beautiful forester's house, which is owned by the Count's family von Wedel. As a trained chef and business administrator for hotels and gastronomy, our guests are especially close to my heart. After working for over ten years in many places at home and abroad, I was drawn back home. I missed the North German mentality, the "Schnack", the food and the family. With the former forester's lodge and its six apartments, I am already very close to my dream of owning my own small hotel, as I accompanied and helped build it during the development process. I especially love the history that lives in the house, the forest and the lake on the doorstep, and the serenity that this place exudes.
