Thatched house on the Eider bank

In the north of Germany, nestled between two seas, lies the breathtaking nature of Schleswig-Holstein. The unique flora and fauna is characterized by rivers, streams and lush flowering meadows. The large thatched house is located on the banks of the gentle River Eider, surrounded by old trees.

It comfortably accommodates up to 8 people in three double and two single rooms. The spacious rooms of the house offer plenty of space for larger families or groups of friends to retreat and spend time together - whether at the long table in the kitchen or in peace and quiet with a good book on the bench next to the fireplace in the large hallway. The homely atmosphere is underlined by the furnishings, which are a mixture of heirlooms and modern elements.

In almost all rooms, you are accompanied by an unobstructed view of the countryside - the panoramic view from the living room is particularly beautiful. From the patio door in the hallway, you step out onto the brick terrace in the garden. Just a few steps away, you can dip your feet in the Eider at the private bathing area. In the shade of the old trees, you are very close to nature and can often watch storks and sea eagles or simply relax under the rustling canopy of leaves while the large cruise ships on the Kiel Canal seemingly sail through the meadows in the distance.

If you want to explore the nature and culture of Schleswig-Holstein, the house scores with its central location: in less than an hour's drive, you can feel the wind on the stormy North Sea or take a refreshing dip in the Baltic Sea. Experience culture up close in the many museums and the castle in Schleswig or on a walk through the canals of Friedrichstadt.

By the way: small dogs are very welcome here - if there is only one. The property is not fenced in and there are lots of animals in the immediate vicinity. Just be prepared for that.
