In the heart of Etnedal, surrounded by the forest and with beautiful mountain views, you'll find this lovely cabin. With great views, fresh mountain air and beautiful nature experiences right outside the cabin door, this is the perfect setting for those who want a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition to the cabin, an annex has been built with a beautiful view of the valley, so there are great opportunities to travel together as a couple of friends or several families.
When you enter the cabin, you will be greeted by the beautiful light coming in through the large windows. The cabin is designed with many windows, so you can enjoy the view from wherever you sit. Below the cabin is Fjellsetra, which has been there for generations and contributes to the cozy atmosphere here.
The cabin has many cozy nooks and unconventional angles and is tailored to optimize your experience. The exciting architecture and beautiful materials make the cabin an aesthetic experience in itself. Here you'll find a homely atmosphere, modern comfort and plenty of personality. The cabin has a large kitchen-dining room, with a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen, a cozy dining table, several lovely places to sit down with a good book and a cup of coffee and a custom-built sofa corner. All with views of the valley.
The area around the cabin offers wonderful hiking opportunities in summer and winter. Here you can lace up your ski and mountain boots and head straight out for a hike - the hiking trails and ski slopes are right outside the door. Not far away is beautiful Synnfjell, where you can find challenges for both young and old, as well as cozy, relaxing Sunday walks. There's something for everyone here. There are also lovely swimming spots in the mountains, so remember to bring a towel in your backpack in the summer.
When you come home from your trip, you can sit down in the spacious hallway and enjoy the sun on the terrace with a good cup of coffee or grill sausages and marshmallows on the fire pit while enjoying the view of Fjellsetra and the beautiful mountain landscape.
Ski in/ski out: Cross-country ski trails right outside the cabin.
Ski resorts nearby: 34 min to Spåtind Skisenter, 53 min to Snauhaug Skistadion and 53 min to Valdres Alpinsenter.

We are a family of four, Espen, Heidi, Aksel and Ella, and we have this beautiful cabin at Fjellsetra on Synnfjell. The cabin is peacefully situated on a mountain pasture and in the summer animals graze here, which we find incredibly cozy. One of our favorite things about being here is the peace and quiet and the fantastic nature, and we come here as often as we can. In the winter, there are great ski trails right at the bottom of the cabin, where you have access to over 300 km of trails, and in fact Espen is among those who prep the ski trails with a snow groomer here in the winter. One of our favorite trips is to Jomfrusletten, which is about 13 km, with both start and stop at the cabin.
The area has lots of great hiking opportunities all year round, and we have a good knowledge of the mountain in all seasons because we spend so much time here, and are more than happy to share tips with our guests - so they can find the best hikes.
The cabin is the closest neighbor to Snaufjellet, and just five minutes on foot from the cabin door you are above the tree line, with endless trails and hiking opportunities in the mountain. There are many great fishing lakes and places to sleep in tents in the mountains if you want to experience this. Among the popular hikes in the area, Spåtind, at 1414 m above sea level, is probably the most spectacular, with panoramic views of several counties and famous mountain peaks. For a more urban experience, Lillehammer is only an hour away by car. Just 5 minutes away by car you'll find Gamlestølen fjellstue, where you can enjoy good food and drink, or the small alpine slope.
