Our names are Mikael and Gitte. We live with our two children in Egå, which is just north of Aarhus. Mikael works as an architect and is therefore the man behind the transformation of what was originally a Kalmar house. We took over the house from Gitte's parents in the early days, and we have since renovated and rebuilt everything ourselves, using recycled materials and things from the local area.
We love pulling the plug and heading for Ebeltoft, where we can enjoy a few days of completely low-key living. Here we can relax in peace and quiet, sit with our feet in the small lake and look out over the grasslands or spend the night under the open sky on the terrace.
