On a blind road along the coast of Venø Bay, you will find an architectural and energy-efficient cottage from 2021 with the wildest panoramic view of the fjord. Here, the family has prioritized quality materials, with much of the wood, to create a warm cottage atmosphere in delightful surroundings.
When you step inside you will be enveloped by lifelike wooden panels on all ceilings, large and open spaces with high ceilings, and large windows that bring nature and light inside. The wooden panels also act as sound absorbers, and to top it off, the entire house is installed with underfloor heating so you don't have to worry about freezing on a chilly day. From the cottage, you can enjoy the fjord right outside your door, to say the least. From the cottage you can watch the beach life and even take a dip in the outdoor shower. Whatever the season, you can follow the changing weather and sit inside in the twilight looking out over the fjord, where the sky and water with colours and cloud formations can change in a split second. And on a windy day from the west, you can sit out on the terrace to the east and look through the house to the other side and still follow life on the fjord.
On the large nature plot there is also plenty of opportunity to be private, take a short walk and pick a bouquet of flowers. In the area you will also find playgrounds, football fields and many footpaths for lovely runs or walks in beautiful nature. Just a ten-minute walk from the house is Handbjerg Marina with plenty of water activities such as surfing, kite surfing, paddle boards, kayaking and canoeing, as well as great swimming areas for both adults and children, and good eateries and ice cream parlours. We are a couple who have realised our dream of building a unique cottage close to the water. We love the solitude there, but just as much to have visits from our children, family and friends. We enjoy the fjord and the beach which is right outside the door, as well as running or walking in the beautiful nature that surrounds the house. Just a ten-minute walk from the cottage is Handbjerg Marina, which offers water sports and swimming opportunities for children and adults, shelters, restaurants and ice houses. We also enjoy a bike ride to Venø, with a stop at a lovely eatery on the island. A visit to Hjerl Hede or a trip to Stubbegård lake are also among the favourites.

The house was as beautiful as the pictures promised. It was very clean and high standard and the view on the ocean was so calming. We can only imagine how nice it must be in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the garden as well but we also enjoyed having cosy evenings in front of the fireplace and relaxing in the sauna.
