Inside the cabin, you'll be greeted by a personal and homely atmosphere. The interior is characterized by second-hand finds, heirlooms and touches of the more modern. This gives the cabin the perfect combination of comfort, style and cozy atmosphere. The large windows and great light make it feel like nature is coming right into the cabin.
The sofa corner is likely to become the family's favorite, but the dining table is the place to enjoy long conversations, board games, good meals with local, fresh fish and long breakfasts. The stove creates a great atmosphere and provides warmth on cold evenings, and on warmer days you can enjoy a bonfire on the terrace accompanied by the beautiful view and each other's company. If you want to retreat a little, the upstairs TV room is a good choice, but walks on the shore also have the potential to become your favorite way to relax.
The area offers many great nature experiences, both if you want to lower your shoulders and just enjoy the fresh air or get your heart rate up on steeper hikes. Nature experiences are literally right on your doorstep and a swim in the sea followed by a trip to the sauna is a sure winner for both body and soul.

Our cabin "Mikkelbo" is at the very edge of the coast of Northern Norway. Coming out to the silence of the magnificent nature - and the delicious fresh water from the tap - is always magical for us. The area invites you to lower your shoulders and let your thoughts rest. Here we are greeted by strong, inviting and beautiful mountains, fresh sea air and a wealth of wildlife. Eagles soar over the cabin area in search of food, hares and grouse hide in the grass, while seals and otters play in the sea in search of fish. One day the sea is calm and glassy, and the next day it shows muscle and power as it meets the shoreline.
The place has a special place in our hearts and we can never get enough of the beautiful surroundings. The silence and open nature provide a good setting for enjoying a good meal and good conversations. If we want more activity, we bring out the board games or get dressed for a trip out of the cabin. With our hiking boots on, we spend 10 minutes standing on top of the bare mountain, where we can enjoy the view as far as the eye can see. Or walk 10 minutes to a white, fine-grained sandy beach nearby, where we can hear the sea lapping against the shore. When we return, we relax with freshly baked buns and a cup of tea or cocoa in the warm sunshine. There are many good opportunities to find a break from everyday life here.
If we want to get away from the cabin, there are also many great hiking opportunities to choose from. There's something for everyone. The surrounding mountains are both gentle and easy to navigate, but there are also hiking opportunities to more spectacular, demanding and challenging peaks. Nature is enjoyed just as much in winter as in summer. In winter, it's the starry sky and the northern lights that we look to. Far away from the noise of the city lights, the starry sky becomes more prominent and is joined by the magical Aurora Borealis, which plays colorful games in the sky. When spring arrives and the sun no longer sets, summer is just around the corner. That's when we sit outside to enjoy the evening sun and the sunset with extra warmth from the fire, while nature's own creations are once again painted in the sky.
