A lovely stay in a traditional and rustic villa in Tuscany.
The local town of Lucca was delightful and a short drive away.
A decent supermarket within walking distance (just) and a very lovely restaurant too. The pool was a plus. The property really is spacious. There’s a lovely dining table but we ate mainly round the kitchen table. I expect this would also make a great winter retreat.
The owner was nearby but kept a distance and was on hand to help with queries.
I’ve seen comment about mosquitoes. Well, they exist (!) and there were plenty of other arms and legs on display on our trips out to confirm as much. You’ll need plenty of insect repellant and then it’ll be fine.
Maybe this property isnt for you if you have any mobility needs or for very young children. But it was really great for us!
You’ll need a car.
And you’ll need to go up a trouser size on account of all the delicious food.
