Surrounded by large, tall trees, the cottage is located on an enclosed plot with plenty of space. The old trees, vegetation and garden design provide lovely spots with both shelter and sun. There's a rich bird life and a sense of tranquillity that the whole family will enjoy.
The cottage accommodates the large family with two bedrooms on the first floor and two built-in alcoves for children on the landing. However, if you have the youngest in the flock, be aware of the stairs, which are challenging and steep for the little ones.
The kitchen-dining room is a great place to be - there's room for the whole family to enjoy cooking, board game nights or cozying up on the sofa with a book and a lit wood-burning stove. The kitchen has everything you need to gather the family around the dining table for a nice dinner. The sofa area opens onto the covered terrace, which also offers a dining area and barbecue for those cozy summer barbecues.
On the large natural grounds, children and young at heart can play ball games or hide-and-seek, and if that's not quite enough, there's a free play area on the campsite's playground next to the cottage. You can also rent canoes or use the laundry here.

Highlights from Kristine
Host since September 2021
- The old, beautiful natural grounds provide peace, shelter and sun spots
- Because the cottage is close to the water and the National Park, it makes for some great nature walks
- There are few neighbors, so there's peace and privacy
When we bought the house in 2021, it was pretty neglected, so we've done a lot to it since then. On a daily basis, we live in Aarhus - my husband and I. Our adult children love to borrow the house and take a break from everyday life. We all love nature, and we bought the house partly because one of our sons lives in the area and uses the surfing environment in Klitmøller a lot.
We love hiking and fishing and do it a lot. The fishing opportunities are countless. The area where the cottage is located can be really rugged, raw and wild - and that's one of the coolest things about the North Sea. Both myself and my husband grew up in families with summer cottages, and we feel that you almost can't live without them. For us, it's part of being able to pull the plug and live the simple and cozy cottage life.
We use the National Park a lot, and we think Lodbjerg Lighthouse with its shelters, exhibitions and café is especially worth a visit, and not least, the new gourmet restaurant Tri, located down by the sea, gets fantastic reviews. In general, you're close to the fjord, canal and lakes, so the area's nature is all-encompassing.
