Welcome to this beautiful architect-designed house in the middle of Mols Bjerge National Park. The house is built with large windows facing three corners of the world, so nature is part of the experience – no matter where you are.
The large common room opens up to the ceiling and creates a fantastic sense of space. The built-in sofa has a bay window where you can read, do puzzles, or just look out at the forest. The sofa can be used as two extra beds. The two bedrooms have closets under the beds, and the loft is a lovely nook with a round window and a view to the east.
The bathroom has direct access to the outdoor bath – a favorite both in summer and winter. The two large terraces invite you to enjoy the outdoors, and the sedum roof blends naturally into the surroundings. The marshy area around the cottage requires rubber boots, but rewards you with a rich wildlife of deer, foxes, birds, and bats at dusk.
Pick up breakfast at Duo Bageren in Feldballe, take a morning dip at Lyngsbæk or Femmøller Beach, and end the day with a walk to the former NATO pier. Lunch and shopping await in Femmøller at Huset Frost or Café L'Abacate, and Ebeltoft offers city life. The national park offers countless hiking trails in the hills.

Our names are Marie and Steen, and we love cottage life, which we share with our two teenage children. In 2018, we bought the cottage after several years of dreaming and searching for a sanctuary. In 2024, we built a new house on the property to make more room for both our grown children and guests.
The new summer house was built with a focus on community and closeness to nature. The interior design is a personal mix of recycled items, heirlooms, and new finds.
Stambækhus is our absolute sanctuary—a natural spot in the middle of Mols Bjerge National Park. We enjoy being here all year round, both on weekdays and weekends, and often with friends and family visiting.
We hope you will let the peace and quiet sink in and enjoy your stay at Stambækhus as much as we do!
