We are a family of four consisting of Jonas and Iben and our two children, August and Olivia. We live in Risskov near Aarhus, and our summer house is a sanctuary that we all love to use both summer and winter. We have been coming to the Fjellerup Strand area for many years, as Iben's family has had a summer house there for several generations. When we were given the opportunity to build our dream house on the plot in the first row, we had no doubt that it had to be realized. The house is built with respect for its surroundings by the sea and forest, and we have used wood and other natural materials as much as possible,

When we're in the cottage, things calm down and we take things at a slower pace. We walk to the beach several times a day or cycle to the local fish shop or the Waffle Bakery. Fjollehaven is a really nice playground at the Brugsen in Fjellerup, where we often go with the children. You can also play mini golf and paddle tennis at the campsite in Fjellerup. We cycle or drive to Bønnerup Strand and buy freshly caught fish at the harbor, where there is also an ice cream parlor, a few shops and a cozy restaurant (Kajkanten). We take trips to the Mols Bjerge mountains, which are stunningly beautiful for short or longer hikes. Ebeltoft is a beautiful old town, and we can especially recommend Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri and Fregatten Jylland as great places to visit.
