Discover a 300-year-old Bavarian Forest house that has been carefully renovated and combines modern architecture with sustainable design. The meter-thick foundation walls tell stories of times gone by, while Scandinavian designer furniture and atmospheric lighting design offer contemporary comfort.
In this extraordinary home, you can expect a handcrafted solid wood kitchen with a communicative kitchen block, a harmonious bathroom with warm wooden flooring and a separate lounge with a Swedish stove. The bright yoga and meditation room on the upper floor invites you to relax.
The 6-hectare natural property enchants with old trees, berry bushes and a well-tended cottage garden. The three-part wooden terrace is the perfect place for yoga, while the double hammock under the plum tree invites you to daydream.
You can explore the two neighboring national parks directly from the house. Hike to the peaks of the Dreisessel and Lusen, plan excursions to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Krumau or explore the three-river city of Passau. In winter, the nearby Hochficht and Mitterdorf ski resorts are tempting.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

Highlights from Ingrid
Host since April 2025
- Relax in a 6-hectare natural garden with barefoot paths and a yoga terrace
- Explore two national parks right on your doorstep by e-bike or on foot
- Enjoy the starry sky from the veranda with a view of the Dreisessel and Lusen mountains
I am Ingrid, a farmer's daughter and autodidact with a keen sense of genuine craftsmanship and architecture, combined with a passion for aesthetics, design and a love of nature. After years away from home, I returned to the countryside and, together with my husband Lothar, realized my dream of a design retreat in the hills of the Bavarian forest by converting my parents' farm.
The result is a retreat and starting point for nature-loving people who enjoy good design and want seclusion and relaxation, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We look forward to sharing this special place with you.
On request, I can serve a special breakfast and coffee and cake in the afternoon as an additional service, as I also live in this wonderful place.
