Our names are Frank and Birgitte. In 2018 we bought our lovely cottage and have since renovated it, so we know every nook and cranny. We love the old style of the house, which we have put a lot of energy into preserving while modernizing it. For example, we put the old floorboards back in after installing underfloor heating. We're also very fond of second-hand furniture and the stories that come with it. The green cupboard in the living room was found in the old outbuilding. Here, one of the children of the house's former owner has written his name, and it is he who now owns the smokehouse in Svaneke.
When we are here, we like to go down to the harbor in the morning, where we swim from the pier together with the other fresh Listedboers. During the day we often take a walk along the coast to Svaneke to do some shopping or have an ice cream, while in the evening we go down to the rocky outcrop Gule Hald, from where we can watch the sun set behind the harbor. When it is spring or early summer, we like to head west in the direction of Bølshavn. Here you'll find one of Denmark's most flower-rich salt meadows, with water lily, milk-vetch and other lovely little plants.
