Modern family cabin with ski trails nearby

Built in 2021, this single-story cabin is situated on a landscaped natural lot with abundant birdlife. The three spacious bedrooms are arranged so that none of them share a wall with another, and there are well-marked ski trails and hiking paths in the surrounding area.

Sliding doors between the rooms save space and make it easy to move around. One bedroom features a daybed designed like a four-poster bed and a TV with a Google platform, connected to a PlayStation 1 with plenty of games and DVDs on the shelf next to it.

In the living room, there’s a large, custom-built shelving unit made from eight repurposed dining tables, filled with board games and puzzles. The local ski stadium offers a floodlit trail in the winter, a roller ski arena in the summer, and an 18-hole disc golf course.

A nice hike takes you to Lushaughytta, where meals are served during the Norwegian winter break. Lushaugtårnet is an observation tower from which you can see large parts of Eastern Norway. Lygnasæter Café and Motel serves traditional Norwegian home-style cooking and is a great place to stop along the way.
