At the top of Trysil, you will find this unique cabin where natural light streams in through large windows, offering fantastic views of Trysilfjellet. In summer, the house opens up to nature, while in winter it becomes a cozy and warm retreat where you can enjoy the view of snow-covered mountains.
The open-plan living room and kitchen create an inviting communal area with a well-equipped kitchen island, dining area and a comfortable sofa corner around the fireplace. The sleeping area is cleverly separated from the main room, with plenty of space for ski and hiking equipment in the entrance hall and two practical bathrooms that make mornings easy even for large groups.
The entire interior is finished in naturally treated wood, giving the cabin an authentic and modern atmosphere. The innovative architecture represents a modern interpretation of the traditional log cabin, with a focus on sustainable materials and environmentally friendly solutions.
From the cabin, you have direct access to Scandinavia's largest ski resort with 69 slopes and 32 lifts. In summer, a network of hiking trails, bike trails, and fishing lakes await. Trysil offers activities for every taste, from challenging off-piste skiing to peaceful canoe trips on the river.

We are two German-Swedish-Norwegian families who designed and built the NORWEGIAN WOOD cabin after visiting Trysil for over 18 years. As architects, designers, and engineers, we have put our hearts into creating a cabin that respects nature and the Norwegian climate. We use the cabin ourselves and look forward to sharing this special place with our guests.
