Off-grid timber cabin by river near Lillehammer

This log cabin offers you a rare opportunity to disconnect from the modern pace of life. There is no electric light here – only candles and paraffin lamps that create a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The cabin is peacefully located, surrounded by forest and with the river nearby.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, and there is a naturally cool food cellar under the bench. Water is fetched from the river and purified with a filter. Bedroom 1 has a family bunk bed, bedroom 2 has two single beds, and the sofa in the living room can be converted into four extra beds. There is an outdoor toilet about 20 meters from the cabin.

The outdoor area in front of the cabin has a long bench and a fire pit, surrounded by forest with a view of the river. In summer, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the cabin on the trail, and in winter, you can follow the ski trail for about 20 minutes. You must carry everything you need yourself.

From the parking lot, it is only 10 minutes to Lillehammer city center and shops. You can go to the movies or a restaurant – and still return the same evening to the tranquility of the forest. There are beautiful hiking areas in the surrounding forest, and you can find trails at ut.no.
