We are a family of four—two adults and two young people—who enjoy spending holidays and weekends in our lovely summer house near Silkeborg, both together and separately. We have furnished it comfortably with a personal touch and have modernized the house, which was originally built in 1938. The house is small and cozy—there isn't much room, but we think that's part of its charm.
When we're here, we make good use of Lake Thorsø, which is just below the garden, for sailing and swimming. The forest is perfect for lovely walks or mountain bike rides in the area. We enjoy the fantastic tranquility in the middle of the forest and the view of the lake.
